Nothing is better to warm the cold Indiana evenings in December than a night drive. Heat up the car, grab some cookies and hot chocolate (with a lid, of course!), turn on the holiday music with Indy’s best holiday station–B 105.7, and get ready to hit the city streets.

Christmas in the Woods

  • When: Nightly from 6 to 10 p.m.; one hour of music; tune 98.9 FM
  • Where: 6733 Yellowstone Parkway, Indianapolis
  • Cost: Free


Linden Drive Lights

  • When: Nightly
  • Where: 6415 Linden Dr., Indianapolis
  • Cost: Free


The Indiana State Fair Holiday Lights

  • When: Through December 31. Reservations Required.Where: 1698 East 42nd Street, Indianapolis; enter through Gate 12.Cost:  $30/car.  No vehicles over 11’


Winterlights at Newfields

  • When: Through January 7.
  • Where: 4000 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis; walking tour.
  • Cost: $15 and up per person. Advanced ticket purchase required.


Christmas at the Zoo

  • When: Through December 30.
  • Where: 1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis; walking tour.
  • Cost: $19.50 and up. Members free.
