What better way to celebrate your birthday than at The Cake Bake Shop in Carmel’s City Center? Bonus when your sister has an October birthday too and you celebrate with her and the other special ladies in your family!
Walking into the shop is like walking into a fairytale. Every detail of the restaurant plays a part in the light and airy atmosphere. From the breathtaking marble flooring inlay to the white furniture, the entire restaurant is dazzling. Not to mention the most beautiful detail: the decorated cakes on display in the bakery area.
Sitting down at our beautiful table, perfectly decorated for Halloween, we are faced with a tough decision: what to order.
I had the chicken salad sandwich, which comes on a deliciously butter croissant – my mouth is watering just thinking of it. My mother-in-law had the chicken velvet soup, reminding us of the good ol’ days at L.S. Ayres.
SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!
We split a few desserts: one slice of the blueberry pie (YUM!) and one slice of Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake, because how could we resist?!
Will definitely be back for more delicious treats and fairytale memories at Cake Bake! Did you know my mother-in-law grew up in the Broad Ripple Cake Bake house?
