Indianapolis Oktoberfest | September 10-12
Start the month with a taste of Germany at the 52nd Annual Indianapolis Oktoberfest at German Park. Enjoy traditional German food, music, dancing and a festive atmosphere. It’s a longtime Indianapolis tradition and a fun way to welcome the fall season.
BUTTER Fine Art Fair | September 3–6
If you prefer art and culture to apple cider and hayrides, check out BUTTER Fine Art Fair at The Stutz. The annual event showcases contemporary artists and gives visitors the opportunity to discover new work while supporting Indianapolis’ vibrant arts community.
Caramel Apple Festival at Tuttle Orchards | September 12 & 19
Fall and apples go hand in hand, making Tuttle Orchards in Greenfield a perfect September destination. The annual Caramel Apple Festival offers seasonal treats, family activities and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the farm. The pumpkin patch also opens September 18, making this a great place to return later in the season.
Carmel International Arts Festival | September 26–27
Head north to Carmel for one of the area’s premier arts events. The Carmel International Arts Festival brings artists from around the country to the Carmel Arts & Design District for a weekend of artwork, shopping, food and entertainment. After browsing the booths, explore downtown Carmel’s restaurants, shops and public art.
Indianapolis Oktoberfest on Monument Circle | September 26
For an evening downtown celebration, the Indianapolis Oktoberfest on Monument Circle combines German food, live music and plenty of fall fun in the heart of the city. The event is a great reminder of how many unique experiences are available right in downtown Indianapolis.
Holy Name Oktoberfest | September 25–26
Looking for a community festival with a family-friendly feel? Holy Name Oktoberfest in Beech Grove features German food, live entertainment, a beer garden and activities for children. Admission is free, making it an easy addition to a fall weekend.
